Aunt May's Chocolate
Cake
- 5oz Self raising
flour
- 6oz castor sugar
- 6oz soft margarine
- 3oz drinking chocolate
powder
- 3 large eggs
- 3 table spoons
of water
Method
Grease and line 8-9in cake tin.
Mix all the ingredients together in a bowl. Stir gently to begin with
until all ingredients are combined. Beat for two minutes.
Transfer the mixture to the prepared tin and bake in the centre of the
oven 180c.
Cook for about 1 hour until well risen and firm. Leave the cake in the
tin for 5 minutes. Then turn onto a wire rack to cool.
Coat the top with plain chocolate. (Melt the chocolate by placing cubes
in a basin and placing basin over a saucepan of boiling water. Do not
allow the basin to touch the water.)
